To the One I Love:
Like the golden autumn sun, shine thy rays down upon me,
Blossom, like the spring flowers, and set my spirit free...
Reflect thy beams onto the ocean, and make the water brilliant,
With thy warming comfort thou makest, my broken heart resilient...
Thou art like the summer wind, blowing gently with a breeze,
Thou givest my wings the power, to lift myself with ease...
Sweeter, thou art, than sugarcane, more stunning than the bright light of day,
Thy soft, little feet leave footprints, that not even the seas can wash away...
Thy voice is enchanting, calming the souls, opaque and luminous,
It suits thee, for thou art, bewilderingly pulchritudinous...
Like a clear, twilight sky, on all, thy prodigious beauty shines,
Within our hearts, the love that bursts, there are no confines...
Now, fly with me, into the air, we will soar above every cloud,
Take my hand, and I will make sure, thy misery shalt rest disavowed...
The only thing that couldest hurt me, is to witness thee hurt as well,
If thou werest to ever fall, under thy tears I would lie quelled...
During the cold, unforgiving winters, and throughout the bitterest of storms,
Lie belly abreast my gentle wing, its softness shalt keep thee warm...
And when darkness takes away all hope, with its chilling scare,
Promise me thou willst never forget... for thee, I will always be there...
