Fireclaw's Cave Inn

"That is my natural smell." I reply.

I snicker.
"Whatever. We've all seen you down at the springs" I joke.

I tilt my head, confused.

I sigh.
"I was joking, we're not in the right realm to have herbal essences"
I grin.

I rest my head back down onto my winghands.

"Heh. I can imagine Shaylle bathing in apples.." I smiled..

"The tea was excellent, Fireclaw!" I complemented.

I began to chase after shaylle's tail and began to play with it. Suddely without thinking, i bit his tail.

I noticed, but did not mind. My fluffy tailtuft made it hurt much less anyway.

"Hmm..." I said, thinking of what to say, while surveying the inn hall.

It was very spacious. It had a large bar with a comfortable lounging area with fluffy huggle cushions.

I noticed that the sun was setting outside, and I cracked a smile. "Heh. Fireclaw, you need your beauty sleep about now, right?" I laughed, still feeling warm next to Shaylle.

I grinned at the joke and already had a comeback.
"I'm nocturnal" I said with a smirk "Not that I need beauty sleep" I added as a joke.

"Well, I need some rest anyways. I had a big day today. Is there anywhere a certain white 63ft dragon can turn in for the night?" I asked, yawning and stretching.

"Yeah, there's some rooms down the hall" I replied, jerking my head in the direction of the rooms.

"Excellent." I replied, with a soft smile. "Call me a mother, but I think you all should get some rest as well. You all seem either exhausted or tired, or both." I gestured, looking towards Shaylle the most.

Hmmm.. I wonder why I was more or less talking to Shay more. I had a feeling deep down that wanted me to care for him.. I may be white, and white symbolizes peace and purity and all that, but this was something else.. I think I loved him, but not as a mate sort of way.. More like a relative.. A brother maybe...

I never needed much sleep, and besides, I was the guard dragon of the place in the daytime, when Fireclaw sleeps, and in the night when she is busy with something else in the inn. I never said that though; I never really needed to. I assumed Aev got the idea just looking at the large dragon curled up, facing the entrance.

Aev did get the idea, but asked anyway, just to be polite. I waved goodnight to all who are in the inn, and for the sake of Shaylle's blindness, I said "Goodnight, Shaylle!" happily and I dissappeared into the rooms.

The room was covered with wooden walls and floor and celing. The room was about 300ft wide and 900ft long, with the celing about 100ft up. There is a window at the end of the room, with a view of the rolling hills and the mountains, and 6 small windows in the celing. There was about 20 double nests, suitable for two 200ft dragons if they both curled up. I picked one right of the entrance, and curls right up, watching the sun set through the window.

Looking at the sun set, I remembered when I had a mate. We would watch the sun go down together as we snuggled up with each other, embracing each others paws in our own, whispering words of love to each other. I dearly missed her, especially when she was savagely killed by humans.. I can still hear her scream..

Thinking of that, I weeped, and tangled my fur of my arm around my claw, sobbing quietly to sleep, hoping no one heard me..

*Lifts his head hearing soft weeping coming from the rooms near him, having tended to his wounds he walk over the the door way to the room and sees Aevlore curled up watching the sunset, hearing more of Aevlores weeping I walk slowly to him and ask him kindly*

you ok Aev?

*I say with a soft smile, not sure what your sad about, though still offering a wing and a ear to talk to*

I looked up at Rall, and seeing his smile made me smile back, with tears filling up my eyes. I let out a sigh and explained.

"Well, it's just the sunset made me upset. It made me remember the times I had with my love.. She was taken from me.. By.. by.." By this point, I was so distrought, I just unloaded my tears in Ralls chest as I held him desperately.

*I smile softly and calmly hold you letting you unload your tears into his chest, waiting for you to calm a bit before he spoke again*

"It's ok Aev I understand... I've lost someone close to me as well... know the pain.."

*I say with a heavy look, not wanting to remember watching his mother die right before his own eyes, softly tring to comfort you in his hold*

I sniffed a little, to stop leaking different fluids. I then looked up at you, seeing the emotion on your face as well as mine.

"You.. *Sniff* You have?" I said, feeling a little better.

What made me happier was the company of a friend. Not many people I know cherish friendship like I do. I held Rall very close.

"You've made me feel so much happier.. Th.. Thank you." I thanked.

*smiled softly at you still holding you a bit*

"Your welcome Aev, I'm here for my friends that need it"

*I say cheerfuly even though my memory was starting to pick away at me, tring to make me remember the scene I had forced my self before to forget*

* smiles softly releasing my hold on Aevlore, streching my wings a bit before looking at one of the nearby nests*

"I think I might rest up a bit Aev, if you need me just wake me ok?"

*I ask him kindly*

I released my grip on Rall, and nodded. I watched him curl up on the nest to my right.

I then poked my snout through the door to see the others conversing.. I still had tears in my eyes at that point, and I sniffed up some snot a bit too loudly..

I turned at the sound and looked down the hall at Aev. I saw he was crying and padded over to him
"What's up?" I asked, tilting my head sympathetically.

As i contuned to play with Shaylle's tail, i began to feel very tired. I was freezing when i lay down on the ground.

I breathed more fire into the fireplace and opened a wing a bit, offering Little Dragon a warmer place to sleep instead of the cold floor.
